Dancing at the Orange Mound Community Center
Well I’m 85 years old, and I retired from the Memphis City Schools as principal after 43 and ¾ years with the system. To use my spare time in a way that I enjoy, I come to the Orange Mound Community Center.
Growing up in Orange Mound was never without something to do
I grew up in Orange Mound in the 1950s. I lived right across the street from a park, which had a great swimming pool, a great recreation program, and that’s where we went to have fun because every day, all I had to do was walk across the street.
