"So, my first job was actually at Historic New England. I started as a Registrar and…the first day of my new job was inventorying Cogswell's Grant [Essex, Massachusetts] and I went with my boss and started to conduct an inventory, which means listing everything out; very detailed. I was so excited to get started. We started in the attic. Actually, we started in Jack's room. We opened up a chest and there were about ten to fifteen pairs of eyes staring back at us! It was a chest full of taxidermy stuffed birds which I was not expecting and slightly frightened, but ultimately delighted!"
